England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin burst onto the scene with a unprecedented innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.

This year's winner will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.

The show will be broadcast from 7 PM GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She entered the fray to score crucial late equalisers in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he ascended to world number one for the maiden occasion.

At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a proud moment for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.

Perrin finished second in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
